Bow Tie Guy of the Day: Kangaraffe

Kangaraffe (ˈkaŋgəˈraf)

The kangaraff, sometimes regard to as the giraffaroo, is a large rare created found in the very remote areas of Austrailia, They travel in towering troops. These docile, plant eating creatures are a little smaller than the average giraffe.  If they cannot reach vegetation with their long necks they have the added advantage of being able to jump to reach the highest trees.

This creature has been jumping around in my head for some time. I am grateful I was finally able to get it out of my head and onto paper.

More Random Sketches and a Bow Tie Guy

With it being so close to finals week I am posting more random sketches. The kangaroo is from my visit to the Biodome in Montreal. The man was sketched while at a restaurant. The others are from my head.

Day 4 and 5 of 100 days of bow ties

Kangaroo (ˌka ng gəˈroō) and a Whatchamacallit ((h)wə ch əməˌkôlit)

This is for Saturday and Monday. It was difficult to find time to draw as I spent Saturday morning helping with the clean up from Tropical Storm Irene and then trying to do much needed yard work. It was sobering to see how much the floods had devastated the areas. On the flip side it was humbling to see the care of so many people for those in need.

93 to go.
