I think I am going to draw cut little cats like this one in neck ties from hear on out.  No more bow ties. They are just so adorable and cuddly.

It has been a busy day and I almost thought I would not get one done. I have said it before and I will say it again. People are more important than art. Most of my day was focused on other people.

So here it is. The Tiger is an endangered species. It is threatened by loss of habitat, human and tiger interaction and climate change. They are the largest of the Asian big cats. You can find out more at the World Life Site

Bow Tie Guy of the Week–The Amur Leopard

Amur Leopard (äˈmo͞or ˈlepərd)

The Amur Leopard is the most endangered large cat in the world. They live along the Amur river in northeastern Asia. A large part of this river forms the boundary between Russia and China. The Amur Leopard is largely at risk due to poaching for their fur.

There are only 57 known to live in the wild, placing it on the critically endangered list. The good news is this number has doubled since 2007 when there were only around 30 in the wild. 

From a personal artistic perspective, I found that I really struggled with drawing the cat. I am not satisfied with it and will need to do more studies of cats in general.

Brementown Musicians at Vermont Children's Theater

I just finished the illustration for The Brementown Musicians poster. It will be playing at The Vermont Children's Theater on June 27, 28 and 29. My youngest daughter is the sheep. Nothing like the challenge of getting a donkey to play the kazoo.
